At the 2026 World Robot Congress (WRC 2026), Haier has officially launched its fully autonomous home AI cooking robot, the "AI Chef Genius" CR3, marking a significant leap in bringing hands-free kitchen automation to everyday households.

The CR3 is engineered to completely take over the entire cooking workflow, from ingredient dispensing and stirring to seasoning and even the final pot-cleaning step, requiring zero manual intervention from the user. This design aims to make the concept of a truly unmanned kitchen a practical reality for ordinary families.

From a product design perspective, the CR3 features dual stirring paddles that replicate the tossing technique of a professional chef. Its automatic ingredient dispenser works in coordination with the lid mechanism, ensuring that when the heat is just right, the four-compartment ingredient tray delivers each item in precise sequence. The robot also intelligently dispenses eight different seasonings with accuracy, eliminating any guesswork over quantities or the worry of accidentally mixing up salt and sugar.

Once the cooking is complete, the CR3 automatically cleans the pot using high-temperature steam at 100°C, saving users from the most tedious chore of washing up. From the initial ingredient loading to the final dish being plated, the entire process is seamless and entirely hands-free.

According to on-site representatives, the Haier home AI cooking robot leverages a million-scale AI model to digitize the real-world operations of master chefs, down to the gram for seasonings and to the second for heat control. The robot learns and masters the precise order of ingredient additions and the rhythm of stirring, allowing it to consistently reproduce dishes at a master chef's level of quality.

What's even more intriguing is that users can "teach" the robot their own family's treasured recipes, generating personalized cooking programs. This means that the taste of home-cooked meals from mom's kitchen can be replicated at any time, on demand.

Additionally, to address the varying health needs of different family members, the CR3 comes pre-loaded with six functional recipe categories and a smart dietary library covering eight specific groups of people. From low-sodium meals for the elderly to high-protein dishes for fitness enthusiasts, the robot ensures that every family member has tailored meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
