Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX:DMP) saw its shares plummet 11.89% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of its first-quarter financial results.

The sharp decline came after the company reported earnings per share of $4.13, missing analyst estimates of $4.28 and falling from $4.33 a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter rose 3.5% to $1.15 billion but also came in slightly below the expected $1.16 billion.

During an earnings call, the company's Chief Financial Officer Sandeep Reddy indicated that international same-store sales growth is now expected to be in the low single-digits, citing macro and geopolitical uncertainty across the world as primary factors. This cautious outlook contributed to the negative market reaction.
