Zimmer Biomet shares surged 5.42% in pre-market trading after the medical device maker reported second-quarter results that topped Wall Street expectations and raised its full-year outlook.
The company posted adjusted earnings of $2.07 per share, exceeding the consensus estimate of $2.01. Revenue came in at $2.177 billion, also above the $2.134 billion analysts had forecast. Compared to the prior year, net sales grew 4.8%, while GAAP diluted EPS jumped 33.8% to $1.03.
Management lifted its 2026 guidance, now expecting reported revenue growth of 3.9% to 4.9%, up from a prior range of 2.5% to 4.5%. The adjusted earnings per share outlook was raised to $8.47–$8.59, versus the Street’s estimate of $8.48. Additionally, the company increased its share repurchase target to as much as $1 billion, citing strong first-half performance and innovation momentum.
