The leading U.S. provider of high-performance RF components and solutions, M-tron Industries, announced on Tuesday that it has received a follow-on production order valued at $6.8 million from a significant U.S. Department of Defense contractor, supporting several major counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) radar programs.
The order encompasses multiple products, including high-performance, oven-controlled crystal oscillators. The related systems have garnered strong interest not only within U.S. defense procurement channels but also from numerous federal civilian agencies, with production anticipated to continue beyond 2030.
M-tron CEO Cameron Pforr stated, "This follow-on order is a strong testament to our customer's confidence in our team and our ability to deliver highly differentiated products. When a customer returns to expand a relationship so quickly after an initial order, it speaks volumes about the performance and reliability of our delivered products." He added that the company is seeing robust growth in demand within its defense and aerospace portfolio, and this contract further strengthens confidence in the company's sustained growth in this market.
The work under this contract will be performed at M-tron's facility in Orlando, Florida, and is expected to continue through 2027. The company had previously secured a $2.7 million initial order from the same customer in April 2026, and this additional order signifies a notable increase in the customer's endorsement of M-tron's products.
M-tron supplies critical components for numerous defense programs for the United States and allied nations, spanning areas such as precision-guided munitions, communications systems, radar, electronic warfare systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and space platforms. The company is headquartered in Orlando, Florida, with a design and manufacturing base in Yankton, South Dakota, and operational facilities in Hong Kong and Noida, India.
