Yangzijiang Maritime signs sale contracts for four new bulk carriers

Yangzijiang Maritime Development Ltd. announced on Aug, 6 2026 that it has signed contracts to sell four newbuild bulk carriers of about 40,000 DWT each, with deliveries scheduled between Apr, 2027 and May, 2028.

The company also reported that the first of four medium-range tankers covered by contracts worth US$180 million disclosed in Nov, 2025 was delivered on Jul, 30 2026. A second tanker is slated for delivery in Nov, 2026, while the remaining two are expected in 2027.

Including the latest agreements, Yangzijiang Maritime has entered into sale contracts for a total of 12 newbuild vessels over the past nine months, representing an aggregate gross value of about US$500 million.

The group expects these vessel sales to contribute positively to its financial performance in FY2026, FY2027 and FY2028, subject to completion and delivery timelines.
