APT Electronics warns of RMB53–58 million interim loss as revenue edges down amid pricing pressure

APT Electronics Co., Ltd. (APT Electronics) expects to post a net loss of between RMB53.00 million and RMB58.00 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reversing from a RMB11.23 million profit in the prior-year period, according to a profit warning filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 10 August 2026.

Revenue is projected to range from RMB1.08 billion to RMB1.10 billion, a year-on-year decline of roughly 1%–3%.

Management attributes the earnings swing to three main factors: 1. Intensifying competition in the automotive and high-end lighting markets, which compressed selling prices and reduced revenue from automotive intelligent lamps and high-end lighting products. 2. Higher pre-production expenses linked to the construction of Lynway Vision (Guangzhou) headquarters and R&D base, part of the company’s expansion strategy in the Greater Bay Area. 3. Rising raw-material costs, notably for precious metals and PCB components, which lifted overall product costs.

Despite short-term pressure, APT Electronics reported resilient performance in its higher value-added segments. The advanced display division achieved revenue growth, supported by the company’s strong position in RGB Mini LED production capacity, efficiency and quality control. Automotive-grade LED devices and modules also delivered steady sales growth, benefiting from established technological capabilities and reliability.

The group reaffirmed its commitment to an innovation-driven, high-end manufacturing strategy, emphasizing deeper vertical integration, incremental capacity expansion and a focus on high-growth niches across its three core businesses—intelligent automotive vision, advanced display and high-end lighting.

The financial figures are based on unaudited management accounts and may be adjusted. APT Electronics plans to release its full interim results by the end of August 2026. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
