On August 19, KINGSOFT released its second-quarter results for the period ending June 30, 2026.
During the second quarter, the group reported total revenue of RMB 2.51 billion, with its office software and services segment generating RMB 1.7 billion, up 25% year-on-year. Adjusted net profit attributable to owners of the parent company reached RMB 331 million, a 37% increase from the prior year. As of the end of the quarter, the group held cash resources totaling RMB 27.157 billion.
The revenue mix continues to tilt further toward the office business. In the second quarter of 2025, KINGSOFT recorded total revenue of RMB 2.307 billion, of which office software and services contributed RMB 1.356 billion, while online gaming and other operations brought in RMB 952 million, accounting for 59% and 41% of the total, respectively.
Based on rough calculations from the latest quarter's disclosed figures, the office segment now represents close to 70% of total revenue. The online gaming and other businesses, meanwhile, came in at roughly RMB 800 million, still trending downward year-on-year.
This trajectory was already evident in the first quarter. During Q1 of this year, KINGSOFT's revenue stood at RMB 2.417 billion, up 3% year-on-year. Office software and services revenue climbed 24% to RMB 1.613 billion, while online gaming and other operations fell 22% to RMB 803 million.
This indicates that across both quarters of the first half, the office business sustained growth of over 20%, whereas the gaming segment continued to feel the impact of declining revenue from existing titles.
The office segment's expansion is not reliant on a single product. In Q1, Kingsoft Corporation Limited's WPS personal business generated RMB 975 million, up 13.8% year-on-year. WPS 365 brought in RMB 244 million, surging 60.79%, and the WPS software business delivered RMB 347 million, a 32.24% increase. Growth was seen across personal subscriptions, organization-level collaboration, and government-enterprise software, with WPS 365 posting the fastest gains.
AI remains a key investment focus for Kingsoft Corporation Limited this year. In July, the company launched Lingxi Professional Edition and WPS Comate, further expanding its AI-powered office offerings for both individual and organizational users.
However, based on the financial disclosures available so far, the company has not broken out AI revenue separately. The office business's growth is being driven by a combination of factors, including personal subscriptions, WPS 365 customer expansion, and procurement from the Xinchuang initiative, so the 25% increase in this quarter should not be equated directly with AI commercialization revenue growth.
The gaming business, meanwhile, remains in a product transition phase. In Q1, the company stated that the decline in online gaming revenue was mainly due to reduced contributions from certain existing titles, with new game launches only partially offsetting the drop. "Goose Goose Duck," introduced in January, is still in the early stages of monetization.
In the second quarter, the scale of this segment held at roughly RMB 800 million, suggesting that new products have yet to fully compensate for the decline in legacy game revenue. Going forward, the long-term performance of core titles and the revenue contribution of new games will be key factors to watch.
As of the end of Q2, KINGSOFT reported cash resources of RMB 27.157 billion. This substantial reserve provides a solid foundation for R&D in office AI and investment in gaming content, but whether it can translate into sustained growth ultimately depends on the paid conversion of AI products and the subsequent performance of new game releases.
