Prudential repurchases and cancels 364,573 shares; buys back further 383,720 shares

Prudential plc announced on Mar, 27 2026 that it had cancelled 364,573 ordinary shares following a buyback executed on Mar, 24 2026, trimming its issued share capital to 2,528,843,701 shares.

The company also reported that it repurchased another 383,720 ordinary shares on Mar, 26 2026 via the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from GBP 10.605 to GBP 10.745 per share, for a total outlay of about GBP 4.10 million. These shares are earmarked for cancellation.

Separately, 353,237 shares bought back on Mar, 25 2026 and the 383,720 shares repurchased on Mar, 26 2026 are still awaiting cancellation, together representing roughly 0.029 % of the outstanding shares prior to the transactions.

The repurchases form part of a mandate approved by shareholders on May, 14 2025, which allows the company to buy back up to 262.67 million shares. As of Mar, 26 2026, Prudential has repurchased 78.34 million shares under this authorisation, equivalent to about 3.01 % of the share count at the mandate’s adoption.

In line with regulatory requirements, Prudential is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Apr, 25 2026 following the latest repurchases.
