Nebius (NBIS) shares surged 5.19% during intraday trading on Tuesday, as institutional buying interest and strong pre-earnings sentiment propelled the stock higher.

The rally was fueled by private equity giant Carlyle Group's disclosure of a new position in Nebius during the second quarter, marking one of just three new additions to its portfolio. The vote of confidence from a major institutional investor bolstered market sentiment. Additionally, traders are positioning ahead of Nebius's Q2 earnings report, scheduled before the market open on August 12, with consensus estimates calling for a 374.21% year-over-year revenue jump. The company's previous quarter already delivered a 621.55% revenue surge, reinforcing its hyper-growth trajectory.

While options market activity indicated some caution on further near-term upside through call-selling, large put-selling trades around the $170-$180 range suggested strong support levels, contributing to the stock's upward momentum during the session.
