NOV Inc. shares surged 6.71% in after-hours trading, reversing a 3.18% decline during the regular session, following the release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results.
The company reported Q2 revenue of USD 2.134 billion, surpassing the IBES estimate of USD 2.086 billion. Net income attributable to shareholders rose to USD 112 million, or USD 0.31 per share, marking a significant sequential increase. Adjusted EBITDA climbed to USD 283 million, up USD 106 million from the prior quarter, partly aided by approximately USD 40 million in tariff refunds.
Looking ahead, NOV issued third-quarter guidance for revenue to be flat to up 2% year-over-year, with adjusted EBITDA expected in the range of USD 240 million to USD 270 million. The upbeat earnings report and better-than-expected revenue provided a strong catalyst for the after-hours rally.
