WeRide Inc. released unaudited results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, underscoring rapid top-line growth driven by overseas expansion and rising demand for its autonomous-driving solutions.

Revenue and Profitability • Total revenue jumped 73.3% year on year to RMB 345.86 million (USD 51.0 million). Overseas markets contributed RMB 119.30 million, up 154.4% and accounting for roughly one-third of the total. • Product sales (primarily autonomous vehicles) reached RMB 112.78 million, while service revenue (operational and technical support, L2++/L3, data services) climbed to RMB 233.07 million. • Gross profit doubled to RMB 126.47 million, lifting gross margin to 36.6% from 30.6% on a richer mix of high-margin L2++/L3 projects and overseas L4 contracts. • Operating expenses grew 5.3% to RMB 1.00 billion, as R&D spending expanded 23.8% to RMB 797.65 million, offset by a 45.5% drop in administrative costs to RMB 152.07 million. • Net loss edged down 0.2% to RMB 789.75 million; EBITDA was negative RMB 666.99 million, a 6.5% improvement. Non-IFRS adjusted loss widened to RMB 664.63 million, reflecting lower share-based compensation but higher operating scale.

Cash and Balance-Sheet Position • Cash, cash equivalents and time deposits totaled RMB 5.37 billion at 30 June 2026, down from RMB 7.10 billion at end-2025, after share buybacks of HKD 542.98 million and USD 30.02 million. • Short-term bank loans stood at RMB 485.05 million, lifting the gearing ratio to 18% from 12% six months earlier. Capital expenditure commitments were modest at RMB 9.00 million.

Operational Metrics • Global Level-4 autonomous fleet reached about 3,400 vehicles, including over 1,800 robotaxis. The Middle East fleet numbered roughly 400 units, serving more than 70% of core urban areas in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. • Second-quarter 2026 domestic robotaxi utilisation improved: daily rides per vehicle rose 24% quarter on quarter to above 21, with peaks at 28; domestic ride-hailing revenue surged 140% QoQ. • WRD 3.0, the company’s end-to-end L2++/L3 system, delivered approximately 30,000 units in 2Q 2026 and now supports more than 30 vehicle models. • Technology platforms advanced: WeRide GENESIS cut data-handling costs by over 75%, while WeRide WITT improved data-processing efficiency up to 200-fold.

Strategic Developments • Europe expansion accelerated via partnerships with Uber (Spain, Switzerland) and GreenMobility (Denmark), marking six European markets. • Public robotaxi operations launched in Singapore with Grab; right-hand-drive robotaxis under co-development with Geely Farizon and Kwoon Chung Bus for Singapore and Hong Kong roll-outs. • Robobus services extended to Zurich, Leuven, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UAE, with Zurich becoming the first European city to allow operations without onboard safety operators.

Management Outlook The company will continue pursuing an asset-light overseas model while deepening self-operated growth in China, targeting additional first-tier cities and further deployment efficiency gains. Focus areas include scaling the L4 robotaxi network, accelerating WRD 3.0 adoption, and leveraging proprietary AI platforms to enhance operating economics.

No interim dividend was declared for the period.
