Heritage Financial's stock surged 5.25% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.
The regional bank reported strong performance with adjusted earnings of $0.59 per diluted share, beating analyst expectations of $0.57. Revenue also saw significant growth, reaching $77.9 million compared to $57.6 million a year earlier. The company's net interest margin expanded to 3.96% from 3.44% in the prior year period.
The positive results were largely driven by the acquisition of Olympic Bancorp, which boosted assets, loans, deposits, and contributed to higher net interest income. Heritage Financial also declared a regular cash dividend of $0.24 per share, demonstrating confidence in its financial position.
