May 22

Zhuguang Holdings Group Company Limited (01176) released its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for the year ended 31 December 2025, detailing performance across environmental, social and governance pillars and resetting its environmental baseline for future targets.

Key Governance Upgrades • The Board retains ultimate accountability for ESG and climate issues, supported by an ESG Steering Group and ESG Taskforce that coordinate data collection, policy implementation and annual reviews. • Climate oversight is being strengthened in line with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s new ESG Code requirements and the IFRS S2 framework; scenario analysis is now embedded in risk assessment. • External advisers are engaged for best-practice alignment, and climate-related metrics and targets are reviewed regularly.

Climate & Environmental Performance • Air-pollutant output fell: sulphur oxides 2.89 kg (-21%), nitrogen oxides 153.02 kg (-21%) and particulate matter 35.75 kg (-21%). • Total greenhouse-gas emissions were 4,185 tCO₂e (Scope 1: 556 t; Scope 2: 3,108 t; Scope 3: 521 t). Intensities for Scopes 1+2 decreased year on year; Scope 3 coverage was expanded. • Electricity use dropped to 5.38 million kWh (-23%); gasoline use declined 41% to 5,876 litres. • Water withdrawal fell 77% to 115,531 m³; solid-waste generation plunged 94% to 168 tonnes. • All 2024 short-term reduction targets were met, but the Board reset FY2025 as a new baseline to reflect structural changes in China’s property market; FY2026 targets now aim to maintain current intensities for key emissions, water and waste indices.

Risk & Opportunity Mapping • Acute physical risks (typhoons, flooding) and chronic risks (changing precipitation) identified as top concerns for construction sites and hotel assets, especially in Guangzhou. • Transition risks from tighter regulation and rising raw-material costs also highlighted; no climate-related opportunities identified this cycle. • No material financial impact from climate risks recorded in FY2025.

Social Indicators • Workforce totalled 535 employees (50% female); turnover rate 39%. • 61% of staff received training, totalling 3,460 hours (average 6.47 hours per employee). • Zero work-related fatalities were recorded for the third consecutive year; one injury resulted in 245 lost days. • Comprehensive policies ensure compliance with labour laws, prohibition of child and forced labour, and equal-opportunity employment.

Supply Chain & Product Responsibility • All 20 active suppliers are PRC-based and subject to the Group’s “Cooperative Management” procedures, covering ESG credentials and annual performance reviews. • No product recalls, privacy breaches or substantiated customer complaints occurred in FY2025. • Intellectual-property protections include registered trademarks and design patents; marketing materials comply with national advertising laws.

Ethics & Anti-Corruption • Anti-bribery protocols, whistleblowing channels and employee integrity agreements are in place; zero concluded corruption cases in FY2025. • Targeted anti-corruption training rolled out previously remains in effect; compliance monitoring is led by the Risk Management and Internal Audit Centre.

Community Engagement • While no monetary donations were recorded in FY2025, the Group reaffirmed its long-term commitment to sustainable urban renewal, poverty alleviation and educational support, aligning corporate actions with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Outlook With a new FY2025 environmental baseline, Zhuguang Holdings Group will focus on maintaining or improving current intensity levels for emissions, energy, water and waste through FY2026, while deepening climate-risk integration into enterprise strategy and strengthening stakeholder-aligned ESG practices.
