Prudential cancels 0.63 million shares after latest buy-back

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 635,107 ordinary shares on May, 1 2026, reducing its issued share capital by about 0.03 per cent to 2.521 billion shares.

The group also reported that 754,453 additional shares repurchased on Apr, 30 2026 and May, 1 2026 remain to be cancelled.

On May, 1 2026, Prudential repurchased 265,592 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange for cancellation, paying between GBP 10.96 and GBP 11.07 per share. The total consideration was approximately 5.0 million Singapore dollars.

Since receiving its current buy-back mandate on May, 14 2025, the insurer has repurchased 86.593 million shares, or about 3.32 per cent of the shares outstanding at that date, out of an authorised limit of 262.669 million shares.

Under exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales until May, 31 2026.
