China has officially delivered its domestically designed and built 115,000-ton product tanker to the client today (the 21st), according to information from the China State Shipbuilding Corporation. The vessel's core equipment, including its engine, has achieved full domestic production, with cargo capacity, speed, and fuel consumption metrics all reaching internationally advanced standards.

The newly delivered tanker measures 249.8 meters in overall length and 44 meters in width, boasting a full-load capacity of 115,000 tons, which enables it to transport approximately 830,000 barrels of refined oil in a single voyage. Its strong port adaptability allows it to dock at most major oil ports worldwide, making it well-suited for serving trunk routes in international energy trade.

What stands out is that the tanker's core systems, including its engine, are now fully localized, complemented by high-efficiency propellers and energy-saving devices that effectively reduce operational fuel consumption. Additionally, the vessel is equipped with advanced desulfurization and denitrification systems, significantly cutting emissions of sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, and carbon, all while meeting the latest environmental emission standards set by the International Maritime Organization.

With cargo capacity, speed, and fuel efficiency all at globally competitive levels, the latest data reveals a surge in global tanker orders heading into 2026. China has secured over 80% of these new global tanker orders, and domestic shipyards are operating with full order books. Having already achieved standardized, serialized batch production, their production schedules are now booked solid through 2030.
