Hong Kong's Official Foreign Exchange Reserves Held Steady at $445.9 Billion by End-June

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority disclosed on July 7th that the official foreign exchange reserve assets of Hong Kong stood at $445.9 billion as of the end of June 2026, maintaining the same level recorded at the end of May 2026.

Additionally, there were no outstanding foreign exchange contracts as of the end of June 2026, compared to a figure of $300 million at the end of the previous month.

The total foreign exchange reserve assets amounting to $445.9 billion represent more than five times the currency in circulation within Hong Kong, or approximately 38% of the Hong Kong dollar M3 money supply.
