Bumitama Agri Ltd. reported profit attributable to owners of IDR1.83 trillion for the six months ended Jun 30, 2026, up 44% year-on-year, as higher crude palm-oil (CPO) volumes and firm selling prices offset rising industry inventories.

Revenue rose 24% YoY to IDR12.08 trillion. The board declared an interim dividend of 4.10 Singapore cents a share, 13% above last year’s interim payout; the company did not disclose a payment date. EBITDA climbed 37% YoY to IDR3.50 trillion, lifting the margin 2.7 percentage points to 28.9%.

Higher crop yields and oil-extraction efficiencies underpinned the earnings jump. Internal fresh-fruit-bunch supply increased 13% YoY to 1.86 million tons, driven by a 16% rise in nucleus estate yields to 10.8 tons per hectare. CPO production reached 672,590 tons in 1H26, up 10.5% YoY, while the oil-extraction rate edged up 0.11 percentage point to 22.48%. Second-quarter CPO output hit a record 362,485 tons, bolstering the topline to IDR6.46 trillion for the period.

Industry headwinds included a build-up in Malaysian palm-oil inventories, which climbed to 2.54 million tons by end-June. Bumitama’s margin gains indicate disciplined cost control and the benefit of resilient benchmark prices that hovered between MYR4,500 and MYR4,700 per ton during the quarter.

Looking ahead, the company cited three supportive factors: Indonesia’s rollout of the B50 biodiesel mandate from July, the potential impact of a forecast super-El Niño on regional output later in the year, and renewed volatility in global energy markets that has kept Brent crude around USD100 per barrel. These developments are expected to tighten vegetable-oil supply and sustain pricing, while Bumitama targets further yield improvements in the traditionally stronger second half of the year.
