Prudential plc trims share capital after latest buyback

Prudential plc has cancelled 277,659 ordinary shares following a buyback executed on Apr, 24 2026, cutting its issued share base to 2,522,727,996 shares, a reduction of about 0.011%.

The repurchase was carried out on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from GBP 11.12 to GBP 11.335 per share, for an aggregate consideration of roughly 5.5 million Singapore dollars.

In addition, 607,874 shares acquired on Apr, 23 2026 and Apr, 24 2026 remain pending cancellation.

Under the shareholder mandate approved on May, 14 2025, the insurer is authorised to buy back up to 262,668,701 shares. To date, it has repurchased 84,325,649 shares, representing about 3.24% of its share capital at the time of the mandate.

The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until May, 24 2026.
