Amrize Ltd (AMRZ) shares tumbled 7.13% in after-hours and pre-market trading following the release of its second-quarter earnings report, which fell short of Wall Street expectations and included a downward revision to its full-year profit outlook.
The company reported adjusted diluted earnings per share of $0.88, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $0.94. While revenue of $3.494 billion beat the $3.365 billion estimate, the bottom-line miss overshadowed the top-line strength. The earnings shortfall was primarily attributed to oil-price-driven cost inflation, which increased freight, diesel, and raw material costs, particularly impacting the Building Envelope segment.
Adding to investor concerns, Amrize updated its full-year 2026 guidance, raising its revenue forecast to $12.5–$12.7 billion but lowering its adjusted EBITDA guidance to $3.1–$3.2 billion, down from the prior range of $3.25–$3.34 billion. The company cited ongoing cost inflation as a headwind that will continue to pressure margins in the second half of the year.
