Stock Track | Corning Soars 5.18% on TGV Glass Substrate Momentum and China AI Infrastructure Expansion

Stock Track
Jul 06

Corning's stock surged 5.18% intraday, driven by multiple positive developments in its advanced glass technologies and strategic expansion in China.

The rally was fueled by continued momentum around Corning's GlassBridge glass-based optical interconnect technology and expanding partnerships in the Through Glass Via (TGV) glass substrate space. Significant progress was reported as BOE has completed the full-process glass-based packaging substrate workflow and is jointly advancing optical engine integration validation with Corning, signaling meaningful progress toward industrializing this technology.

Additionally, Corning recently signed an agreement in Shanghai to establish a new production base targeting $1 billion in annual output of high-precision fiber optic connector harnesses, specifically aimed at meeting surging AI computing infrastructure demand. This strategic move, combined with Mizuho Securities raising its price target on Corning to $270, provided further valuation support for the stock's upward movement.
