A prominent U.S. law firm specializing in shareholder rights litigation has announced the filing of a securities fraud class action lawsuit against Via Transportation, Inc. (NYSE: VIA). The suit alleges the company issued false and misleading documents during its initial public offering in September 2025, causing significant harm to investors.

The lawsuit is brought on behalf of investors who purchased Via common stock between September 9, 2025, and June 9, 2026, including those who acquired shares in the IPO. According to the complaint, Via's IPO filings presented a misleading picture to investors, claiming the company was experiencing significant and sustained revenue growth and highlighting the success of its "capture and expand" strategy in Germany. In reality, the company's growth had already begun to stall prior to the IPO, including a decline in platform annual recurring revenue and an inability to expand in the German market.

As the truth emerged, Via's stock price suffered repeated significant declines. On November 13, 2025, the company disclosed its first-ever quarterly decline in ARR, causing the share price to fall approximately 15% to $43.14. On February 27, 2026, the company acknowledged facing regulatory headwinds in Germany, leading to a further drop of nearly 8% to $17.18. On May 12, 2026, the company further revealed ongoing funding and budget pressures in Germany, triggering a roughly 17% plunge that day to $14.12. At the time the lawsuit was filed, the company's share price stood at $14.52, representing a cumulative decline of nearly 70% from the $46 IPO price.

Investors have until August 10, 2026, to petition the court to serve as lead plaintiff. The lead plaintiff will oversee the progress of the case on behalf of other class members, including decisions affecting litigation strategy and potential settlements.
