Prudential plc buys back 1.99 million shares on London market

Prudential plc (PRU) reported that it repurchased 1,993,270 of its own ordinary shares between Jun, 22 2026 and Jun, 26 2026 under the share buy-back programme approved at its 2025 annual general meeting and launched on Jan, 6 2026.

The transactions, carried out through JP Morgan Securities plc on the London Stock Exchange, were executed at prices ranging from 9.83 to 10.18 per share, with a volume-weighted average price of about 10.04.

All repurchased shares will be cancelled, leaving the insurer with 2,511,004,470 shares in issue, which will also represent the updated total of voting rights.

Since the programme began, Prudential has bought back a cumulative 42.94 million ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of 1,097.9568 per share.
