The rebuilt Huanggang Port is set to open soon.
The Huanggang Port is China's first large-scale land border crossing to operate 24-hour customs clearance, and its reconstruction was launched in 2019.
The new Huanggang Port was built with the participation of nearly 60 construction companies including China Construction Science and Industry Corporation and more than 100,000 builders, who successively overcame challenges such as the super-large foundation pit, synchronized support removal, and the installation of 170,000 tons of steel structures, delivering an intelligent construction answer in the super-large-scale steel structure work.
After the new Huanggang Port opens, it will adopt the "co-location" arrangement and the "cooperative inspection, single release" customs clearance model, with clearance time expected to be greatly shortened from the previous 30 minutes to 5 minutes, providing greater convenience for cross-border travelers between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
