Recently, the Kunming Public Resources Trading Center issued a tender plan for the Zijun Village Community Elderly Care Service Complex Project (EPC), with an estimated contract value of 10 million yuan. This marks a substantial step forward in upgrading elderly care service facilities in Xinjing Community, Yiliu Subdistrict, Guandu District. Located in Zijun Xinjing Garden's Juanyuan within the community, the project will undertake comprehensive upgrades to Buildings 20 and 21, covering a total area of 3,911.04 square meters. Specifically, Building 20 spans 2,092.20 square meters, while Building 21 covers 1,818.84 square meters.

The renovation scope includes core functional areas such as a community care center, a day care center, rehabilitation and home care stations, cultural activity spaces, and meal assistance service points. Supporting works such as upgrades to water, electricity, and gas pipelines, as well as the installation of elevators, will be carried out concurrently. The facility will be equipped with elderly care essentials including nursing beds, age-friendly furniture, and barrier-free facilities, comprehensively catering to the living needs of the senior population.

The tender encompasses the entire design process, from conceptual and preliminary design to construction drawing design. It also includes full-cycle services such as equipment procurement, construction, final inspection and acceptance, project archiving, and defect rectification during the warranty period. The project is scheduled for completion and operation by December 2026.

As a significant initiative in Kunming's promotion of embedded community elderly care services, the Zijun Village Community Elderly Care Service Complex in Guandu District aims to create a "one-stop" elderly care service complex by revitalizing underutilized community properties. This effort is intended to help establish a 15-minute community elderly care service network.
