Bid Winners Announced for Phase One of Shandong's 200MW/400MWh Energy Storage Station Project at 0.97 Yuan per Watt-Hour

On June 9th, the list of selected bidders for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the initial phase of the Tengzhou City Xigang Town 200MW/400MWh Energy Storage Station Project was made public.

The first-phase scale is 100MW/200MWh, comprising 95MW/190MWh of lithium battery storage and 5MW/10MWh of sodium battery storage.

The project is located north of Beihuandong Road and east of Jixi Road in Xigang Town, Tengzhou City, Shandong Province.

The project owner is Zhongneng Gujing (Tengzhou) New Energy Co., Ltd., with funding sourced from other capital.

According to the announcement, the primary preferred bidder is Shandong Zhongfukai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., with a bid of 194 million yuan, equating to a unit price of 0.97 yuan per watt-hour.

The second preferred bidder is Shandong Taikai Power Transmission and Transformation Co., Ltd., with a bid of 198 million yuan, or 0.99 yuan per watt-hour.

The third preferred bidder is Shandong Shengxian Tong Installation Co., Ltd., with a bid of 192 million yuan, translating to 0.96 yuan per watt-hour.

The EPC scope covers the entire process from preliminary design through to final acceptance, handover, and warranty services.

This includes survey and design, procurement and supply of equipment and materials, construction, system commissioning and testing, compliance procedure handling, trial operation, acceptance, and archival document transfer.

The contract also encompasses all related temporary works, fire protection, environmental and water conservation measures, external power grid connection works, and other specified projects and services such as integration with a comprehensive energy platform as designated by the project owner.
