A new national-level zero-carbon industrial park has broken ground, with a total planned investment nearing 2.5 billion yuan.

The park is designed as a hub for the "New Energy + Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry" and is being developed using a "park-within-a-park" model to achieve its zero-carbon goals.

The designated area already hosts several major companies, including Beijing Benz, Xiaomi Auto, CATL, Goldwind Science & Technology, and Schneider Electric.

These companies have established a strong foundation for the zero-carbon initiative through their existing practices.

For instance, Beijing Benz operates one of the city's largest distributed photovoltaic projects, while Xiaomi Auto features a landmark Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) system.

CATL has utilized green power for its operations since production began, and Goldwind Science & Technology has developed a nationally recognized model for a zero-carbon smart park.

The park's development follows a model of "government guidance, market leadership, and industry champion participation," aiming to integrate green energy, zero-carbon manufacturing, a circular economy, and smart management.

Its energy strategy combines "direct green power connections, new energy storage systems, and market-based energy trading."

To date, the project encompasses 25 planned construction initiatives across eight key sectors, with the overall investment approximating 2.5 billion yuan.

The park is scheduled for full completion as a zero-carbon base for the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle industries by 2028.
