Prudential cancels 599,014 shares after latest London Stock Exchange buyback

Prudential plc said its issued share capital fell to 2,506,825,700 ordinary shares on Jul, 20 2026, following the cancellation of 599,014 shares that had been repurchased on Jul, 16 2026. The cancelled shares represented about 0.024% of the company’s issued share count prior to the cancellation.

In a separate report, Prudential disclosed that it bought back 500,319 shares on the London Stock Exchange on Jul, 20 2026 at prices ranging between GBP 10.445 and GBP 10.565 per share, for a total consideration of GBP 5.26 million. These shares are scheduled to be cancelled.

As of the same date, the company also held 267,123 shares, repurchased on Jul, 17 2026, pending cancellation. Under its mandate approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential is authorised to repurchase up to 262.67 million shares, of which 106.11 million have been bought so far, equivalent to about 4.07% of the share base on the mandate date.
