Nationwide Summer Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season Kicks Off for 2026

The nationwide summer cultural and tourism consumption season for 2026 has been launched in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, as of July 8.

During the consumption season, various regions across the country will focus on popular demands such as summer retreats, coastal vacations, nighttime economy, cruise and yacht tours, family entertainment, study trips, intangible cultural heritage cuisine, and museum visits. Efforts will be made to increase the supply of high-quality cultural and tourism products, organize over 30,000 cultural and tourism consumption events, and distribute over 450 million yuan in consumption vouchers and other subsidies to help residents and tourists enjoy their summer holidays and make the most of their travel experiences.

The consumption season will run from early July to the end of August. During this period, relevant authorities will collaborate to introduce a range of public-friendly measures covering areas such as sightseeing, summer retreats, travel, and event viewing.
