JUMBO Group Limited announced on May, 29 2026 that its JUMBO Seafood outlet at East Coast Seafood Centre will close when the lease expires on Sep, 30 2026.
The restaurant, opened in 1987 as the company’s first and flagship outlet, must vacate the premises as the landlord, National Parks Board, studies a redevelopment of the site in line with longer-term plans for East Coast Park.
The outlet contributed about 14% of the group’s revenue for the financial year ended Sep, 30 2025. Because operations will continue until lease expiry, JUMBO Group does not expect a material impact on consolidated net tangible assets per share or earnings per share for the financial year ending Sep, 30 2026.
For the financial year ending Sep, 30 2027, the closure is expected to reduce group revenue. The company intends to mitigate part of the impact with contributions from newer outlets at Sentosa and Tai Seng, alongside its other existing operations.
