CAOCAO INC has announced the launch of its Robotaxi service in Hong Kong, with plans to establish the city as the first global model location under its new RoboX strategy. This initiative aims to explore operational frameworks for intelligent transport systems in international urban environments.
During the Hong Kong International Motor Show, the company showcased "Eva Cab," China's first natively developed Robotaxi vehicle, and formally introduced its RoboX strategy. This marks a comprehensive shift towards artificial intelligence, with the goal of building a world-leading physical AI mobility technology platform. The commencement of the Hong Kong project signifies the systematic implementation of the RoboX strategy in an international city setting. As part of this strategy, CAOCAO INC has set a "Dual 100,000 Plan," targeting the cumulative deployment of 100,000 Robotaxis and 100,000 Robovans by 2030 to accelerate the large-scale adoption of its intelligent transport system.
Concurrently, in the first half of this year, the company has sharpened its strategic focus by optimizing its business structure and scaling back non-core operations. It is restructuring its organization around AI, increasing investments in talent and resources for autonomous driving, AI operating systems, and intelligent transport networks. This effort is designed to deeply integrate AI capabilities into product development, operational management, and the broader business framework, speeding up the transition to an AI-native company. The core ride-hailing business continues to demonstrate steady growth, with improving operational efficiency and profitability, providing a solid foundation for the AI transformation and the RoboX strategy.
Key Focus for the Strategy's Implementation
The development of Hong Kong as a model city is a crucial component of the RoboX strategy. It will focus on testing the sustained operational capabilities of Robotaxis in real-world urban traffic conditions. The project aims to accumulate operational experience across different regions, under varying traffic regulations, and in right-hand drive environments, laying the groundwork for future global expansion. Moving forward, CAOCAO INC plans to progressively implement and replicate the RoboX strategy in more cities. Starting from Hong Kong, the company intends to gradually construct a global intelligent transport network covering major cities worldwide.
