President Trump has again referenced the "great healthcare plan" he announced last month, a proposal from his administration aimed at reducing healthcare expenses. The government has already begun implementing parts of this initiative. He has repeatedly expressed his desire for funds to go directly to patients rather than to insurance companies. "I want to stop all payments to the big insurance companies and give the money directly to the people," he stated. He also called for the highest degree of price transparency from healthcare providers. President Trump further highlighted his administration's efforts to lower the costs of various prescription drugs, including medications for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). As part of the presidential push to reduce IVF drug prices, he introduced a couple who saw their costs for such medications drop by several thousand dollars. The President remarked that previous presidents only "talked" about reducing drug prices without taking action. Trump emphasized agreements with pharmaceutical companies that designate the United States as a "most favored nation" to receive drugs at lower prices. He urged Congress to codify his most-favored-nation plan into law.
