BEFAR GROUP (06745) shares jumped more than 10% in early trading, last up 8.7% at HK$3.50, with turnover reaching HK$82.28 million. The company announced on July 19 that it has commenced production of 6N-grade high-purity hydrogen fluoride gas.
Subsequently, BEFAR GROUP stated that the high-purity hydrogen fluoride gas is currently in the product promotion phase, and there is uncertainty regarding whether it will gain customer acceptance. The company also noted that hydrogen fluoride products account for a small proportion of its total revenue and are not expected to have a significant impact on its financial performance.
Soochow Securities released a research report highlighting that China's high-end electronic materials heavily rely on imports, leaving substantial room for domestic substitution. The report noted that semi-G5 grade electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid is suitable for advanced chip manufacturing processes, and premium production capacity in the industry remains scarce. As of the end of 2025, BEFAR GROUP has a semi-G5 grade electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid production capacity of 6,000 tonnes. The company projects that its 17,000-tonne high-end electronic chemicals project, which will expand into new products such as etching solutions and stripping liquids, will achieve mechanical completion by the end of 2026, driving the company's growth in the new materials sector.
