The second Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Emerging Sectors Youth Fun Sports and Culture Carnival, themed "Youth Nadam, Energetic New Generation," was held in Hohhot Botanical Garden on June 18th.
This event aimed to enrich the cultural lives of young people in emerging fields and promote the concept of national fitness. It was organized by the Autonomous Region Youth League Committee, the Autonomous Region Sports Bureau, and the Autonomous Region Postal Administration. Over 500 representatives from relevant regional departments, Hohhot municipal units, and various emerging youth groups across industries in Inner Mongolia gathered in the lush botanical garden. They experienced the charm of sports through fun activities, cultural exchanges, and health science popularization.
The warm-up session featured a succession of exciting performances that ignited the atmosphere. Dynamic fitness exercises, powerful lion dances, and trendy, cool street dance performances showcased the diverse appeal of sports, blending traditional folk culture with contemporary athletic activities. Simultaneously, three-time World Women's Boxing Champion Yang Xiaoli shared her personal athletic journey, inspiring the young attendees with stories of perseverance and never giving up. She also interacted on-site with boxing enthusiasts for friendly exchanges.
On site, Jia Yueqi, a recipient of the 2026 New Era Youth Pioneer award, shared his personal growth and奋斗 experiences. Using authentic stories and heartfelt insights, he motivated the broader youth community to cherish their time, strive diligently, and pursue their aspirations. Following this, representatives from the emerging youth sectors read a national fitness initiative, calling on young people to adopt scientific fitness concepts, actively participate in全民健身 activities, and contribute to the era's vibrant chapter with boundless youthful enthusiasm and vitality.
The event was meticulously designed with four main sections: a 4-kilometer national fitness walk, nine fun sports challenges, interactive sports knowledge quizzes, and professional physical fitness assessments. These provided a comprehensive and enriched sports experience for the youth, who participated enthusiastically and embraced the challenges, competing and exchanging skills in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Additionally, the event specially invited the Autonomous Region Sports Science Research Institute to offer one-on-one, free, and professional physical fitness monitoring services for participating youth. This provided precise guidance for scientific and healthy exercise, genuinely implementing the services of national fitness and科学健身.
