Food Empire's stock fell 3.08% in pre-market trading on Monday, following the release of its full year 2025 financial results which showed a mixed performance with rising sales but declining net income.

The company reported sales of US$576.92 million, up from US$476.35 million a year earlier, but net income dropped to US$35.99 million compared with US$52.53 million in the previous year. This comes after the stock had experienced strong momentum with a 30-day return of 18.18% and year-to-date return of 32.65%.

Market analysts point to valuation concerns as a key factor in the price decline, with Food Empire trading at a P/E ratio of 39.1x - significantly higher than the Asian food industry average of 16.3x and peer average of 14.8x. The elevated multiple suggests the share price may have been pricing in excessive optimism about future growth prospects relative to current earnings performance.
